Meet the Team

Katie
Katie Sorg, M.S. CCC-SLP/L

Katie graduated from Augustana College with her Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2008, and completed her Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2010. She received a graduate certification in Autism Spectrum Disorders in 2016 and in Assistive Technology with a focus in Communication and AAC in 2024. She has worked in both private and school settings servicing children and adults, as well as supporting birth-3 in early intervention. She has significant experience supporting and evaluating all speech and language areas including articulation, fluency, expressive, receptive and pragmatic language and feeding, but also specializes in supporting the needs of autistic children and adults and  alternative and augmentative communication (AAC).  Katie loves working with children and adults, and their support systems, to help them to communicate effectively and efficiently in all areas of their life!

Sarah Lennon, M.S. CCC-SLP/L

Speech Language Pathologist

Sarah graduated from Butler University with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Science Disorders in 2017. She then received a Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Northwestern University in 2019. Sarah has worked in both school and private settings servicing young and older children. She has experience conducting evaluations and treating all areas of speech and language including articulation, receptive and expressive language, pragmatic language, and fluency. Sarah loves working with children to help them improve their communication abilities so they can express themselves clearly and effectively with all of the people in their lives.

Maggie
Maggie Ruzich, OTD, OTR/L

Owner, Occupational Therapist

Maggie graduated with her Masters of Occupational Therapy from Saint Louis University in 2015. In 2021, she received her Doctorate of Occupational Therapy from Columbia University in New York, where she focused on cognition and motor learning challenges. Maggie loves working with both children and adults to help them participate in all of their desired activities through enhancing skills or modifying the environment.
She continues to participate in research to ensure she is providing the best possible care to her clients!

Salena Lucio, COTA/L

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Salena has been a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for two and half years with over a decade of experience in working with adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Rehabilitation and Disability Services from Northern Illinois University and an Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from Fox College.She is especially passionate about supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Integration and ADHD. She believes in the power of environmental, play-based, and family-centered treatment methods to create meaningful connections and promote growth.
